Splash Media LP is looking to grow its client base with new technology and applications for the business owner to manage social media.

The Addison-based company launched SplashCube, a Web-based application that allows companies to manage their social media presence. It sells for $299 a month.

“It makes it very simple for someone who has a desire to know social media but might not have a social media background,” said Chris Kraft, president and CEO.

The new technology is part of the company’s social-media-managed services, in which it has seen substantial growth since merging last year with WebDex Media Group.

“We took the best of both and created our managed-services business, which also became a technology company as we started developing these products and making them available to our customers,” said Paul Slack, former CEO of WebDex and current chief learning officer at Splash Media.

The company has seen revenue grow 508 percent from August 2010, Kraft said. About 90 percent of the growth was spiked by the company’s managed services.

The company works with around 200 large companies like Interstate Batteries as well as small companies, managing social media interactions on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

“We basically act as their in-house online marketing arm,” Kraft said.

Splash created SplashCube for smaller companies unable to afford Splash’s full service, which can start at $5,000 a month, Kraft said.

SplashCube grades businesses on their social media efforts, and then offers steps to increase engagement.
