Kristine Macabare
Creative Developer and Project Planner

Everybody develops lifelong hobbies while they grow up. For Kristine Macabare, it was web design and programming; we’re guessing the only “C’s” she ever saw in high school were those in the C++ computer language and CSS web development tools. But Kristine is that rare person who combines deep knowledge of the technologies with very people-friendly marketing strategies. After serving as a graphic designer for the Texas Center for Educational Technology, she joined WebDex and immediately began to contribute to content/search engine marketing projects. She consults on blog setup and training, social media implementation, website design and email newsletter campaigns while managing special client projects. Her desire to keep learning matches up well with the constantly-evolving web industry, and she gives back to her fellow Splash Media team members with periodic “lunch and learn” sessions to bring staffers up to date on the latest technology developments.

Cole Field
SEM/SEO Specialist

Cole Field started his professional career in the IT industry, but his real passion came to light when he joined his former employer, SuperMedia. This is where he learned about the world of online marketing and advertising, and how to leverage SEO, SEM, and IYP PPC to take businesses to new heights. After five years, his entrepreneur spirit led him to start his own photography company, where he has taken a wildly creative and interactive approach to the old-school photo. His mobile photo studio is branded to the needs of any client or theme; it’s a sophisticated marketing solution connection brands to consumers.

He has always been a social networker; he enjoys meeting new people and building key relationships. Social media has empowered him to expand his networking both professional and personally, as well as create an online presence for his photography company. It’s all happening online, and people and companies need to incorporate online networking more.

In a few words, he is an influencer, sarcastic and humorous, extremely passionate about his skill, a contemplator and a responder, and is child-like in spirit. He is a social networker and is always keeping up to date about online marketing. He’s just an average guy, with a creative passion just trying to make a successful living and find ultimate happiness in life.

Rhea Thomas
Blog Manager

As a dean’s list honor student in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas in Austin, Rhea Thomas has always had a passion for the written (and typed) word. She started writing as a child (stories about her Barbies and long, rhyming poems) and displayed excellent managerial and entrepreneurial talents when she started a girls’ club (The Boys Busters) at 10 years old. Diverting off the yellow brick road, Rhea experienced a temporary foray into the world of finance where she continued writing in her free time and had a short story published in Quality Fiction Magazine. Rhea entered the Blogosphere three years ago with her own personal blog, which ended up receiving Google’s Blogs of Note recognition in December 2009. Working as a blogger for UpTake.com, the largest independent travel research site after only two years in business, she began SEO training and learned more about the impact of social media. Still sidelined in finance, she ended up spearheading the social media campaigns for several companies in that industry before finding her way to Splash Media, where she can finally use her writing background combined with her passion for social media.
