Hendrik de Vries

The Internet has democratized the worlds of online trading and other aspects of the financial industry. Hendrik deVries knows this very well; as president of LeadMax Solutions, he introduced clients to online brokerage firms, and as a foreign exchange (forex) specialist with Forex.com/Gain Capital Group, he used the web to help potential and future clients navigate the worlds of foreign currency trading. But Hendrik also brings valuable marketing and advertising experience from the communications industry, serving as a sales representative for AT&T Advertising and Publishing, where he worked with more than 600 advertisers looking to place their brands in both print-based phone directories and web-based initiatives. And when Hendrik was a business manager at Dynetech Corporation, he managed sales and marketing for several product lines.

Mark Roos
Account Executive

Content is king in the new media world, and Mark Roos is the king of blending specialized video content with business models designed to boost page views, brand awareness and bottom lines. And he has been doing it for a while now, beginning with his role as a production manager at VISTA in 1997, using video to jump-start new revenue streams. As a production executive at PRIMEDIA Productions, he created programming related to key company-owned publications including Hot Rod, Guns & Ammo, Motor Trend and Low Rider. His content prescriptions for PRIMEDIA’s Healthcare division included helping to create the Massachusetts General Hospital Dept. of Psychiatry Academy – a virtual college that empowered him to build solutions involving web and video-based broadcasting. Mark helped generate a 1500 percent increase in video advertising sales while a video product manager at Idearc Media Inc., and created content for VideoSoldMyHome.com as its director of production. All of that adds up to more than 20 years of video and TV production, live satellite broadcasting, interactive multi-media, webcasting and technology product development experience – exactly the kind of valuable team member we seek at Splash Media.

Steven Swaim
Account Executive

The new media world is all about mashups, and Steven Swaim’s career has been a creative blend of quality storytelling, recognizing opportunities in media industry developments and forging key business relationships to take advantage of all those qualities. Steven is the senior producer for Splash Media’s spark360 “Social Business Television” company profiles; his experience as an executive producer for a regional business news magazine TV show in California helped prepare him for that role – he saw early on how video could help companies tell their stories to wider audiences. Steven also has valuable experience in the financial world, having served more than 15 years as an executive in the corporate finance arena specializing in mergers/acquisitions and debt/equity placements. He has been a managing director for Chemical Bank New York and was part of a boutique Merchant Bank Group. Those financial experiences – working hands-on with businesses to work on capital issues or company planning – give Steven a special understanding of the unique challenges for small/medium-sized businesses, and how to tell their stories in the most effective way.
